We fund and foster research

The HSG supports researchers in seeking external funding, submitting research applications, training and employing research methods, and planning academic careers.

As a research-driven University, we rely on a funding environment for our research.

Points of contact for funding
Central points of contact for HSG research funding are the Vice-President's Board (Research), the Research Committee and the Research Services. Research Services comprises the Research Committee’s Office, Euresearch St.Gallen and the Alexandria research platform, all of which report to the Vice-President's Board (Research).

In its advisory and preparatory role, the Research Services support the work of the Research Committee and the Vice-President’s Board (Research).

If you have any questions about the HSG’s funding programmes, or any other Swiss funding institutions (particularly the Swiss National Science Foundation - SNSF) please contact the Research Committee’s Office.

Advisory service for empirical research
The advisory service for empirical research (Beratungsstelle für empirische Wirtschafts- und Sozialforschung) supports empirical research projects at the HSG. The portfolio of services comprises training and education in research methods, resources to researchers via method websites and consults researchers in their empirical projects.
