Student Union

The Student Union (SHSG) is the official body representing our students. It is the umbrella organisation for student activities.

Library of the university of St.Gallen.

The Student Union (SHSG) represents the needs and concerns of our students and plays an active role in shaping the future of the University. It operated solely through voluntary student involvement and, thanks to its 200-strong staff, is able to offer a wide range of products and services.

University development and culture
The strategic department projects have shown the most significant impact outside the walls of the university. The Asian Culture Transfer ACT offers one particular example in the area of university development; in terms pedagogy there are teaching appraisals; on the campus there is a campus bar; and in the spheres of culture and leisure there are things like the “Jazz at the Uni" initiative.

With a staff of 200, efficient management of internal processes is also required. This is handled by the interdisciplinary departments Marketing & HR, Finances and IT & Infrastructure.
